From the magnificent Nile river in the north to the towering Rwenzori mountains in the west, mountains of the west, Uganda is rich in conservation and cultural experiences and unforgettable wildlife encounters. The primary focus for JGIA in Uganda is the Girls Empowerment Program, which aims to increase girls access to education, reproductive health and life skills. This in turn increases opportunities for income generation that does not impact chimpanzees and their habitat.
